When people ask what Synergize actually does, the honest answer is that it depends on the cause. Our job is outreach and event marketing for mission-driven organizations, and the shape of that work follows the mission. The two partners at the center of our work are L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs & Violence) and Stand For The Silent, and understanding what they do explains a lot about what we do.
L.E.A.D.: prevention education in schools
L.E.A.D. is a national nonprofit focused on drug and violence prevention education. It works alongside law enforcement and educators to deliver programs directly to young people, in classrooms and communities, before problems take root. Prevention work like this depends on reach. A program only helps the students it gets in front of, and getting in front of more students takes awareness, funding, and community support.
That is where our team comes in. Through community events, school programs, and face-to-face outreach across the greater Sacramento region, we help connect L.E.A.D.'s mission with the people who can support it. During the winter months, that partnership extends further: our team collects donations on behalf of L.E.A.D. and matches those contributions by assembling winter care kits for individuals in need, an effort that put 200 kits into the hands of Loaves & Fishes Sacramento this past season.
Stand For The Silent: taking on bullying
Stand For The Silent addresses bullying and its consequences through school presentations that reach students directly, with a message centered on awareness, compassion, and the real cost of silence. It is difficult, important work, and like all prevention work, it grows through the communities that stand behind it.
Our role is the same as it is with L.E.A.D.: building the community connection that lets the message travel. Event tables, school outreach, conversations with people face to face. Awareness campaigns succeed one person at a time, and that is exactly the kind of work our team is built for.
Two sides of the same mission
Drug prevention and bullying prevention are not separate problems. Both are about reaching young people early, giving them tools and confidence, and interrupting cycles before they start. Supporting both organizations at once means the work compounds: the same community events, the same school relationships, and the same local goodwill serve two missions that reinforce each other.
